Inauguration of The Salem Aadheenam
11-12 November 2006

In a grand 2 day ceremony, The SPH officially inaugurated the Salem Aadheenam (temple-monastery complex) to continue the revival of The Saila Siddha Sarvajnapeetha and the service to the people of Salem. The ceremonies consisted of a grand homa (fire ritual) performed by The SPH and sanyasis of the Nithyānanda Order.

Situated in the heart of Tamil Nadu, the Saila Siddha Sarvajnapeetha would serve thousands as a hub of the ancient knowledge specifically catered to the Tamil-speaking diaspora. The construction and establishment of this Aadheenam would continue over the years and become a home for sanyasis of Sovereign Order of KAILĀSA’s Nithyānanda.

During the inauguration, the Koddikan Ratha Yatra also had a stop in Salem. The Koddikan Ratha Yatra was a three month long peace walk across South India, where the presiding deities of KAILĀSA, blessed millions of people with their darshan (divine vision)
